All Hail Zara

Image

Let me not flood this with anecdotes and tangents about personal things. I just really love Zara. They have an architectural approach to the construction and shape of the clothing, but they make the clothing in light fabrics with organic patterns and designs. I think that is sheer brilliance. Even their darker pieces have a very crisp feel and flow to them, and their clothing is damn good quality. Spring time is a cool time because we can all experiment with patterns in fabrics along as in silhouettes. The shorts on the left outfit (yep, that’s a pair of shorts) has panels that move from one side to another, making it look almost identically to a skirt, which is easily dressed up or down. All in all, that’s what Pretty Neutral is about. Finding ways to recycle pieces for different occasions. You call it laziness, we call it innovative. 😉

Back From the Big Apple

There are no words to properly explain the amount of fun I had in New York last week. No words. And although I feel pretty bad for neglecting this baby for a week, I have good reasons for doing so. You would assume I spent most of my time on 5th avenue spending all of my hard earned simoleons on shoes and pants, and I did, but the majority of my time was spent as a run of the mill tourist. My boyfriend William and I went to both the Top of the Rock and the Empire State building observation decks (don’t ever go during 20 degree weather and gale winds), we went to any and every cafe we ran into. Cafe Angeliques was my absolute favorite. We went to all of the museums, the Met, MOMA, Guggenheim, etc. We took the Circle Line boat tour around Manhattan and I saw more talent in those subway systems than I had thought I’d see. Sure sure, I did make some stops at H&M and Zara, stocked up on wedge sneakers and print pants, as well as striped maxis and sunnies. I had to compose myself in Tiffanys, as to not commit the crime of spending thousands on some earrings haha. Either way, I’ll post photos as the week goes, or when I have time, as well as getting back into the swing of the fashion blogging. Bear with me, I am a studious yet procrastinating young adult.

NYC down, and in a few weeks SEATTLE! I’ve caught the travlin’ bug.

xoxo!
